Nothing beats jumping in the car and taking a drive down Highway 1. I had a few days free, so I did just that. Driving from San Francisco to Big Sur and then back up through Carmel and Monterey. The weather changes constantly, what started out as a beautifully sunny day quickly changed into a foggy evening. It’s pretty spectacular watching the fog eat of all of the trees and blanket it until darkness comes. A few recognizable spots: The Lone Cypress, Monterey Bay Aquarium and Big Sur’s Bixby Bridge.
