The ocean and my heart

My heart yearned for it, and when I counted back the last time I had set foot on the beach, I couldn’t believe I had let that much time pass. Over 8 months: 264 days. And then yesterday we decided we needed to have the salty air drifting through our hair, the sand below our feet, and the sound of waves crashing against the ocean floor dancing in our ears. It was like entering heaven.
