And so life goes that as you leave a place and trade one season for the next you’re just as bound to one day re-enter that familiar sense of awareness that’s become more grateful than ever because now there are additional people joining in and you’re sharing stories and a new adventure where these paths continue to feel strangely serendipitous. What’s more is that you feel like it’s all headed somewhere else after that and so you’re encouraged to take your risks and practice your skills and just let the rest happen along the way.
These photos were taken en route of a road trip that combined more worlds than I could explain at the moment. That’s alright. I flew to the OC to meet up with my friend Jason who I’d met when he came through Chicago. I’d been planning on going to Portland, Oregon, to visit my friends from a past adventure but Jason and I had ended up having a few good chats on my rooftop in the midwest and a few months later were meeting again to drive from Costa Mesa to Oregon.
These are most of the photographs from that journey, including ones from the key coffee stops that also being a barista in the specialty coffee community would have warranted.
