if you were a vespa, what color would you be…in a hexadecimal code?
I’m torn between #34bfc4 and #f31e64.

on a road trip, are most of your clothes in suitcase, a moving box, or a laundry basket?
Pink laundry bag.

describe your nearest “getaway spot.”
I “got away” when I moved to Italy. So when I need to get awayaway I enjoy going to a local bar that serves beer and plays cheesy American Pop. Hearing Beyonce pleading for someone to put a RING ON IT … takes me “home.”

one place in the world where you haven’t been, but you MUST go.
South Africa! I want to frolic with the meerkats, swim with the gazelle and climb trees while I beat my chest.

the longest road trip you’ve taken … solo or with a road trip buddy?
Los Angeles to Seattle. It was an act of God that I made it over the Shasta at midnight with a high grade fever, in the Snow!

when visiting a new city, what intangible items are you hoping to capture?
The spirit of its people.

tell a story about a memorable, intriguing person you met while exploring who you never saw again.
I was in Florida with a good friend of mine and while I was there I had my palm read. This woman told me too much. I love getting my palm read, for fun. But then she took out her magnifying glass and began to kneed through my palms with her fingertips. I asked her what she was looking for and she told me I was in transformation and she was looking for the letter of the person who most effected this transformation. She found an M.

- Never saw her again but I’m pretty sure she works for the dark side. =)

describe your favorite local hang-out.
A lovely little cafe that serves the best cup of cocoa and doesn’t have wifi so I’m forced to read.

describe how you feel when you’re alone with your camera and in a new location.
I’m usually a bit overwhelmed. I take it all in and shoot very little unless I know I won’t be coming back for awhile. I love to shoot new places but I want to see and experience the visual through my heart first.

what inspires you to take the next step by photographing, writing, or composing a song about the area you’re in?
My emotions, friends, and the desire to share as much as i possibly can with my family back home.

My family moved to Cape Town, South Africa (from Rio, Brasil) in 1992 and they still live there. It's awesome. Seriously. I love that you can experience so many different things/cultures/vibes in relative proximity. It's home.

I'm South-African! I moved there from Israel when I was 3 years old and lived there until about 16… then I moved to the states. S.Africa is still, in my opinion, the most gorgeous place ever!!! I want to go back and visit my mom next year…. :)
